クァルテット・オチェーアノ｜弦楽四重奏団
バロック時代から近現代まで幅広い時代の作品をレパートリーとする弦楽四重奏団。作品が作曲された当時の音色や世界観を再現、追体験することを試みるために、古典派の作品はもちろんのこと、ロマン派以降の弦楽四重奏作品もガット弦で演奏することを目指している。これまでハイドン、モーツァルト、シューマン、メンデルスゾーン、グリンカ、ドヴォルザークの作品を取り上げているが、H.ジャダン、A.ギロヴェッツなど知られざる作曲家の作品をプログラムに加えることにも積極的である。メンバーは、バッハ・コレギウム・ジャパン、横浜シンフォニエッタのメンバーとしての公演、またその他多くの演奏会で共に演奏しており、中でもオリジナル楽器による演奏に興味を持って取り組んでいる。2015年8月に結成し、果てしない大洋のように、時に激しく時におだやかに、音を通して大いなるものとつながっていけるようなアンサンブルをとの想いを込めてQuartetto Oceano〔クァルテット・オチェーアノ〕と命名した。

Quartetto Oceano | String Quartetto
Quartetto Oceano was formed in 2015 by musicians who were collaborating in other renowned ensembles such as Bach Collegium Japan and Yokohama Sinfonietta. While the quartet members perform a wide range of repertoire spanning Baroque to modern, Quartetto Oceano maintains a special focus on performing Classical, Romantic, and post-Romantic repertoire on authentic period instruments with gut strings, seeking to reproduce and re-experience the tone color, atmosphere and perspective with which the music might have been composed at the time. In addition to their commitment to the well-known gems of the string quartet literature by Haydn, Mozart, Schumann, and Dvořák, Quartetto Oceano strives to shed light on works of lesser known composers such as Hyacinthe Jadin and Adalbert Gyrowetz. Current projects include the complete string quartets of Mendelssohn. Their schedule includes a broad range of outreach activities with a particular dedication to concerts for children.
